Senior Blockchain Developer
Role Overview
The Senior Blockchain Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining core blockchain protocol infrastructure. This role focuses on consensus mechanisms, execution layers, cryptography, and protocol-level architecture while providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain blockchain protocols and core infrastructure components
• Lead protocol-level architecture decisions including consensus, execution, networking, and data availability
• Develop, review, and optimize cryptographic primitives and protocol upgrades
• Conduct code reviews with strong focus on security, performance, and correctness
• Mentor junior engineers and guide technical best practices
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and security teams
• Participate in protocol research, testing, and production deployments
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with blockchain or distributed systems
• Strong understanding of consensus algorithms, peer-to-peer networking, and state machines
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, or C++
• Solid background in applied cryptography and secure system design
